Roulette
What does Roulette even mean? In french it means small wheel. At the beginning of the game, you place your bet on which the ball will land on: color, number, odd or even, or a range of numbers. The croupier, or dealer, will spin the wheel in one direction and will spin the ball in the opposite direction that the wheel is turning. The ball will eventually fall in to one of the colored and numbered slots and who ever has the corresponding number, color, or range, wins. The game has been played in this form since it started in Paris in 1796. Since then, people of all kinds feel that they have the winning strategy to beat the roulette wheel, however, there is no real way to win. The only ideal way to at least get your original bet back is to double every bet after a loss to ensure you at least get what you started with, provided you eventually win before you run out of money. Mathematicians and computer scientists have all tried their hand at cracking the likelihood of the ball falling in to a certain number, or type of number (odd or even). Try your hand at cracking the roulette wheel! Please let it be known if you have come up with a strategy that is guaranteed to work! Roulette lovers everywhere would love to hear it! Labels: roulette

Getting Ideas to Make Over Your Game Room
Whether you've suddenly acquired an extra room in your home from a kiddo that's grown up and gone to college or you just have a game room area you haven't done anything with; the most daunting part of making over a room to be a total fun room is just getting ideas. A great place to start looking for ideas is right here on your computer screen. It's convenient and you can do it anytime you like. Go to Google or your favorite search engine and go to "Image" then type in "game room" in quotes - it will narrow down your search and look at the images that come up. You can also use the search term "game room decor" if you so choose to narrow down your search even further. Also check out magazines. Again, you can do this search on your computer. Go to the websites of some of your favorite fashion and lifestyle magazines and you will find most have a search function. Use it and search using the parenthesis method above to narrow your results to actual games instead of articles about "Games Men Play". Consider elements for your game room such as : Do you want a bar? Do you want a foosball table? Do you want a full blown poker table or a simple table topper? Also consider the colors. Darker colors usually meld well into any game room decor. Darker colored table toppers or poker tables, black dart boards and dark, elegant draperies will give your room an air of class without making it boring or staid. Use these tips and get the game room you've always wanted. Start looking around now for inspiration! Fun Decor Ideas for Your Game Room
Ready to give your game room a new look for 2008, but you don't want to spend a ton of money and you don't have a lot of time? It's still very possible! First of all, get rid of the clutter. Adopt the attitude of "A place for everything and everything in its place" for your game room and you'll find the room automatically seems a lot larger. Then go through the items that are already out and determine if you really need them. A simple shelf or two on your walls is a great way to ensure that you have the items out that you want and yet they won't be cluttering up table tops and other areas. Then look towards your walls. A game room is for, well having fun and your wall decor should reflect just that sentiment. This is the one room in your home that kitschy, silly, light hearted and whimsical is the rule of the day. Get rid of your fine art prints on the walls and relegate them to other areas of your home where they will be more appreciated. Antique bar art, signs, posters either antique or modern in slick black frames are all economical as well as lending an air of fun to your room. A fun sign with a witty saying will set the tone for your game room. If you haven't already invested in a cabinet or armoire to stash away your television and/or stereo equipment it's a great idea and will keep the lines of your room sleek and clutter-free until you're ready to invite everyone over to watch a game on television or listen to tunes while you play the night away at a game of poker. Use these simple tips and rev up the style in your game room for 2008 and make it a room that is full of fun! Think Roulette!
As you know, a roulette wheel is a staple in even the smallest of casinos. Roulette could possibly be called one of the most popular games to play among people who love games of chance and a good number of people own their own roulette wheels to enjoy the fun game of Roulette. Like Blackjack, Roulette is easy to play and easy to learn. Were you ever curious about where this game originated? Here are some fun facts to impress your buddies next time you get together for a night around the wheel. One unchallenged fact is where the name of the game originated from. The word itself comes from the French word that means "small wheel". The way it acquired that name is still up for furious debate; the legend to be believed about roulette comes with a man named Francois Blanc. There are early tales that tell he made a bargain with the devil so that he could acquire all of the workings and secrets of Roulette. This story more than likely generated because all of the numbers on the roulette wheel total 666 when they are added together. However, history will tell that the game of Roulette was originally concocted by a man from France named Blaise Pascal. Pascal, was a mathematician who lived in 17th century Franch and was inspired to put the game of roulette together because of his interest in both numbers and perpetual motion devices. No matter how the game came to be, it's fun and easy and millions upon millions of people have played and continue to play this enjoyable game of chance. If you already have a game table, consider adding your own Roulette wheel and inviting your friends over for a fun night of Roulette. Labels: gift-ideas, roulette

All I Want for Christmas
Don’t you wish there was some way to tell the people you know what kind or types of gifts that you really want for your birthday or Christmas? All without just coming right out and telling them? Well you could always write a letter to Santa and if that doesn’t work start dropping hints earlier next year. There are all sorts of ways to get the message across, perhaps you are at a casino night somewhere and you casually mention how much fun it could be to have your own Roulette Set. Or at the next poker game you can point out how quickly cards can become worn and how chips can get lost or damaged. Or the next time you are out with friends at a pub you can say something like I have always wanted a dartboard at home. Or pointing something out and saying that is a great idea for a gift. Or perhaps the next time you purchase a gift for someone and they have opened it, tell them they almost didn’t get it because you thought about keeping it for yourself. Ok, if it is a big purchase, perhaps furniture, etc. and you really need to talk your spouse into it, then you will probably need to enlist some help from everyone you know. Perhaps you will be able to bribe them into helping you by offering use of whatever it is you want. If all else fails just do what the kids do, open your eyes real wide and get that pitiful look going and ask “it followed me home, can I keep it?” Labels: blackjack, blackjack-practice, card-shuffle, cards, gift-ideas, jack-daniels, music, poker, poker-party, poker-practice, roulette, slot-machines, texas-holdem

Have a Special Gathering or Raise Money with Casino Night!
Have you ever been to a casino night? Sometimes they are used as a way to raise money for a charity or money for a school. They usually involve games like craps, roulette and poker. Sometimes they include things like a silent auction and door prizes. If you are in charge of an event that will be used in this way, or even if you know someone that might be interested in that kind of fund raiser, they can be a great deal of fun and the amount collected quite often exceeds expectations. It might even be a worthwhile project to suggest at the next PTA or club meeting. Many of the items needed to run this event can be rented or borrowed and some people may already have in their game room or home. If you are asked to help out it would be a good idea to ask around because you may be able to just borrow everything you need. If not, you may consider going ahead and outright purchasing some of the items that you will need and that way they will be readily available in case this turns into an annual event. Since poker tables can be expensive consider getting a few table tops or felt tops, they are just like the actual table look and feel of a casino at a fraction of the cost. And since the object is to raise money they can be a great way to go. If there are going to be “dealers” or “servers” perhaps everyone could wear card player caps or t-shirts. They are not that expensive and it can add a touch of realism to the night. Labels: blackjack, card-shuffle, cards, jack-daniels, poker, poker-party, roulette, slot-machines, texas-holdem

Tips for Winning at Roulette
Roulette is a simple game. There are two basic systems used to win at roulette and here is an explaination of each method. The first system is known as the red/black system. This roulette system uses the two color choices on the wheel, red and black, with half the numbers being red and half being black. This roulette system gives you nearly a 50/50 chance of winning every single time. This is what you do: start at a bet of $1 on the color you chose. If you win, take your winnings, then bet again on the same color, possibly even increasing your bet if you are feeling lucky. If you lose, double your bet. If you lose a second time, then take your losses and start fresh. This system can also be played using odd/even numbers or high and low numbers. The second roulette system is known as the "five numbers" system. With this system you simply place straight-up inside bets. These bets pay 35 to 1 if you win. Place your bets on five individual numbers. Make small bets and if you win a couple times in a row with payouts of 35 to 1 then you will be bringing home a hefty profit. These roulette systems have the potential to work for you and let you play it safe or win big. But remember, roulette is a game of chance and no one can make that wheel stop on a particular number or color. Learning to play the odds is the basic rule for winning at this fun game.
