Raise Money with a Texas Hold 'Em Night!


Do you have a good cause, group or organization that needs to raise some much needed funds for a special occasion or on-going operating expenses? If you've considered ideas like a bake sale, garage sale or other ways that just don't seem like everyone can get on board; consider something that everyone can do - set up a Texas Hold 'Em Night and the winnings will go towards your good cause.

Planning Your Texas Hold 'Em Night
You won't need much. If you have a large number of people that will attend, you can rent a local hall for the evening and some places will donate space for your cause as their own contribution, it never hurts to ask!

Set up tables and chairs, table toppers will make it look a lot more professional and are a very affordable choice as opposed to having poker tables from your own and others' homes brought in. You will need several sets of poker chips and decks of cards. Last but not least, you will need dealers, people that understand the very easy to play game of Texas Hold 'Em.

Add in some music - either from a DJ (perhaps one of your group members has access to a PA system and music) and put together munchies. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate, chips, dips, veggies, small sandwiches, large bowls of salad and other easy to prepare fingerfoods and easy-to-eat-and-play foods will be best. For additional money raising, you may consider setting up a cash bar.

And that's it, call your local merchants to get as much donated as you can and ask your members to look around and bring the items they can spare for the night. You'll find after it's all said and done, you'll have to spend very little to pull off a very successful Texas Hold 'Em Night.
